Adventures in the Southlands
This land is ruled by living God-Kings whose prophets act as powerful regents. The God-Kings themselves are known to walk the streets of its cities, and have risen in defense of their kingdom more than once. It is, however, less a unified kingdom and more a series of city-states separated by geography and devoted to its own divine patron.
The Nuria River runs through the nation, and is the heart of all that it is. It's waters feed the crops that the people depend on. They also feed the magic which first made the God-Kings; mortals who ascended to immortality and near-omnipotence. The river's source is semi-legendary. It is said the water tumbles from an opening in the sky far to the south.
